Current Category Goldfish > Dragon Eye
Dragon Eyes are quite distinctive with their protruding eyes, rounded bodies and double tails. They are also known as Telescope Eyes or Moors (e.g. Black Moor). They are well suited to unheated aquariums and bowls, and can also be kept outdoors (provide protection from predators such as cats or birds).
Dragon Eyes are not fussy about water conditions or diet, and are quite easy to care for. Like all goldfish, they are quite peaceful.
Goldfish with protruding eyes have been depicted in illustrations as far back as the eighteenth century, and were possibly present in China even as far back as the sixteenth century.
